I remember when those towers fell ...
I watched the second one get hit by a plane on live tv and then asked my folks what movie they were watching.
I remember the worry when it was announced that there were still planes in the air and not knowing where they were going...
You have a very nice, easy to read, blog. If you add a Follower button I'd be pleased to click it. I remember the day the towers fell too...I was so angry I almost went on a terrorist hunt.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, welcome to the blog world.
At the time Pooldad and I were talking on the phone while he was a work, less than a mile from the Pentagon. When the second plane hit and they said more were on the way to DC I was in tears.
ReplyDeleteIt took him hours to get his guys back to the office from their routes and even longer to get home that night [I think it was close to midnight since the entire Capital and the infrastructure/roads were closed.] We cried for days but were thankful that they finally grounded all flights.
I won't ever forget that day. EVER. God Bless all the people who heroically lost their lives trying to save others and for those that died for the simple reason they went to work. Sigh.
And Stephen's suggestion of a follower button is a most excellent idea.
I think I got the subscribe working ....
ReplyDeleteWhat I won't forget, along with the above mentioned, is the dancing in celebration in the streets in the middle east, along with Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteHey, nice looking blog.
